The village of Příhon itself is tiny — we’re talking maybe 200 people — but that’s actually part of the appeal. You’re completely immersed in rural Czech life, yet the hotel provides all the modern amenities you’d want.

The Room Experience

My room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with clean lines and warm wood accents that complement the wine theme without going overboard. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms feature modern fixtures with excellent water pressure. What I really appreciated were the little touches — local wine as a welcome gift, and windows that actually open wide to let in the fresh countryside air. The soundproofing is excellent too, which matters when you want to sleep in after a day of wine tasting.

Breakfast is solid too, with local cheeses, fresh bread, and house-made preserves. You can also arrange wine tastings in their cellar, which feels authentic rather than touristy.
